Description

The details are spot-on, and despite some minor niggles like the fidgety chin strap, this is by far one of my favourite LEGO Star Wars helmets yet, as it looks great displayed on its own, or with the other helmets in the collection. As the first attempt at an open-faced helmet within the Star Wars universe, 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet is a success. It looks pretty accurate, is full of authentic detailing and captures the unmistakable look of the X-wing pilot’s headgear very well. Designing it to resemble a helmet on a plinth rather than a hybrid between a full head and helmet like the Batman cowls was a smart move that’s paid off. It also looks like the Ahsoka sets that were released earlier this month may not hang around for long as they are planned to leave at the end of 2024.

LEGO minifigures of beloved Star Wars™ characters accompany the dioramas, as well as plaques inscribed with legendary lines like Luke’s “I am a Jedi, like my father before me” and Darth Vader’s “The Force is strong with this one”. Build your collection - This set is part of a series of collectible LEGO Star Wars build-to-display helmet models, each offering a fun and immersive creative experienceThe bright colours, and contrasty pops of red, yellow and white detail look great against the mostly white helmet, and like others in the collection, the helmet is perched on a sturdy stand. Prepare to take on the Empire with the Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet (75327) – or if you're yearning for the dark side, let our menacing replica of the mighty Darth Vader™ Helmet (75305) be your ultimate symbol of power. Whether you’re a valiant rebel fighter or a temptingly powerful Sith Lord, there’s no better way to showcase your loyalty – or demonstrate your LEGO building prowess – than with our range of beautifully crafted LEGO® Star Wars™ Helmets. Special thanks to the LEGO Group for providing this set for review 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet Set Details

Looking ahead to next year, a further 29 sets are currently scheduled to retire. This includes the long-running UCS Millennium Falcon, the UCS Luke's Landspeeder, and the Mos Eisley Cantina The bright colours, and the fact that it’s a Rebel helmet also add to the uniqueness, and I was very impressed by how well the LEGO designers translated one of the most iconic helmets in Star Wars, and also made it so much fun to build. Step-by-step guide - Are you a newcomer to LEGO construction sets? No problem. There are clear, illustrated instructions in the box, so you can build with the confidence of a Jedi MasterThe orange visor is probably the least accurate, as the dip in the middle feels too deep, but I learned from the designers that this was a particularly challenging part of the model, as they needed to use trans-orange elements, that were as clear as possible, and many iterations led to this one. When looking at the piece count, 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet is in-keeping with previous models and feels fairly priced. However, the build feels more comparable with the considerably cheaper 75305 Scout Trooper Helmet, which offered an equally short construction experience.

This set included clear instructions so you can relax and enjoy the construction of this Red Five Star Wars decoration. And when you’re ready for another building mission, look out for the other new LEGO Star Wars helmets.

X-Wing Starfighter™

Luke Skywalker’s Red Five Helmet is the smallest (by piece count) helmet on the wave, at only 675 pieces, and it’s not a particularly lengthy or tedious build – it took me about 2 hours of leisurely building, so it’s an ideal set to build over a lazy afternoon.
